R&D Manager (open vacancy) – Jeddah

Principal Objective Of the Job:
Responsible for entire Research & Development activities of the company.  
Organizational Relationship:

• Reports to Operations Head
• Reportees include the section managers and team
• Interacts with the Management team & staff at all levels and clients (customers / vendors etc.) 

Major Responsibilities related to job the position:

• Develop and Implement R & D strategies.
• Provide effective leadership in all R&D related activities to achieve organizational objectives.
• Establish a robust program for identifying new opportunities which addresses unmet clinical or market need with branded drugs. 

Main tasks, duties and responsibilities related to the Job:  

• Development of innovative methods to improve existing products and processes.
• Development of new products, techniques or systems to specification and within budgets.
• Developing prototype for range of products based on company’s technology and business strategy.
• Participate in integration of new products with other commercial areas, including brand development, sales strategy, quality assurance, manufacture, legal, and marketing aspects.
• Assess the requirements of new products based on market needs.
• Development of innovative methods to improve existing products and processes.
• Collaborate with medical professionals to run pre-clinical & clinical testing of prototypes. 
•  Manage formulation and analytical teams, including direct supervision and involvement in hiring new team members.
• Ensure that all aspects of product/process development operations are within the project scope, timeline and budget.
• Oversee transfer of product development technology from R & D to manufacturing site.
• Scale up industrial projects for new product development.
• Ensure that all staff is well trained.
